The Frontal Lobe, both right and left lobes are the largest lobes of the brain. It is the crown of the brain. Scientific studies show that the frontal lobe is the seat of spirituality, morality, the will, reasoning, and intellect. It is the control center of our entire being. Most people are unaware that our daily lifestyle practices can indeed affect our temperament, our emotions, and our behavior. The front part of our brain can either be enhanced or compromised by our diet and/or lifestyle. As Christians, let us be sure we understand the importance of protecting our frontal lobes. This is the location were God is going to write His name; Rev. 22:4 and Satan is attempting to capture. Spirituality, character, morality, and our will are the characteristics that give us our unique individuality. Therefore, a person with a damaged frontal lobe may look the same as they always did, but if you interact with them, it is usually apparent that they are “just not the same.” This is why there is so much sinning and repenting in the Church. |
Drugs that damage our Frontal Lobes:
illicit drugs, certain prescription drugs, other legal social drugs, i.e. alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, the “ine” cousins, i.e. cocaine, lidocaine, etc....

Drugs that commonly affect the mind: Asthma medications—Beta agonists; blood pressure medication — Beta blockers, calcium channel blockers, centrally acting agents (Clonidine, Methyldopa, etc.); Tranquilizers and sleeping pills—benzodiazepines antidepressants (Note: tricyclic antidepressants are also used for headaches, insomnia, etc.); anti-ulcer pills — H2-blockers (Tagamet, Zantac); anti-inflammatory drugs — NSAIDS; pain relievers, narcotics; cold and allergy medications —antihistamines (also used for insomnia, etc.), decongestants (especially in children; e.g., pseudoephedrine as in Actifed).
Effects of Compromised Frontal Lobes: Impairment of moral principle, social impairment (loss of love for family), lack of foresight, incapable of abstract reasoning, cannot interpret proverbs, diminished ability for mathematical understanding, loss of empathy, and lack of restraint (boasting, hostility, and aggressiveness).
Frontal Lobe Diseases:
Mania, obsessive compulsive disorder, increase appetite, attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder, and depression. Proof Positive, Neil Nedley, M.D., p. 260.

The Church of Modern Medicine
“Modern Medicine never calls itself a church. You will never see a medical building dedicated to the religion of medicine; it always says the medical arts, or medical science.
Modern medicine relies on FAITH to survive. All religions do. So heavily does the Church of Modern Medicine rely on FAITH that if everyone somehow simply forgot to believe in it for just one day, the whole system would collapse.
For how else could any institution get people to do the things Modern Medicine gets people to do, without introducing a profound suspension of doubt? Would people allow themselves to be artificially put to sleep then cut to pieces in a process they couldn’t have the slightest notion about – if they didn’t have faith? Would people swallow the thousands of tons of pills a year - again without the slightest knowledge what these chemicals were going to do - if they didn’t have faith?
Common to all religions is the claim that reality is not limited to or dependent upon what can be seen, felt, tasted, or smelled. You can easily test modern medical religion on this characteristic by simply asking your doctor WHY enough times. Why are you prescribing this drug? Why is this operation going to do me any good? Why do I have to do that? Why do you have to do that to me? Just ask WHY and sooner or later you will get to the Chasm of Faith. Your doctor will retreat into the fact that you have no way of knowing or understanding all the wonders he has at his command. Just Trust Me”!

Multitudes of physicians, and multitudes of drugs, have cursed the inhabitants of the earth, and have carried thousands and ten of thousands to untimely graves.” Volume 4 Spiritual Gifts, p. 133.
Drugs never cure disease; they only change its form and location… When drugs are introduced into the system, for a time they seem to have a beneficial effect… The disease which the drug was given to cure may disappear, but only to reappear in a NEW FORM, such as skin disease, ulcers, painful diseased joints, and sometimes in a more dangerous and deadly form. Healthful Living, Ellen G. White, pg. 243, 1897

“Those who give themselves up to the sorcery of Satan may boast of great benefit received thereby, but does this prove their course to be wise or safe? What if life should be prolonged? What if temporal gain should be secured? Will it pay in the end to disregard the will of God? All such apparent gain will prove at last an irrecoverable loss. We cannot with impunity break down a single barrier which God has erected to guard His people from Satan’s power. (Testimonies vol. 5, p. 193-194)
